Fruit sessile in umbels pressed close together at their bases. Tree up to c. 15 m high, often crooked. Bark rough, corky. Juvenile leaves sessile, usually orbicular, 4–13 x 3–10 cm. Adult leaves 10–22 x 2–3 cm. Operculum conical, much shorter than the floral tube.
