Fruits almost sessile or shortly pedicellate, sometimes crowded into globular heads, globular-truncate, ovoid-truncate or hemispherical, 5–8 x 5–19 mm; disc convex, flat or depressed; valves enclosed or their tips exserted. Tree up to 26 m high. Juvenile leaves elliptic to broad-lanceolate. Adult leaves 10–15 x 1.2–3 cm; lateral veins irregular; angle 20–40°; intramarginal vein mostly 2–3 mm from the margin. Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncles slightly compressed, 8–15 mm long. Widespread in drier areas. Fl. spring. Thin-leaved Stringybark
