Eucalyptus deanei Maiden

Juvenile leaves broad-lanceolate to orbicular. Fruit campanulate or urceolate, 5 x 5mm, pedicellate; disc narrow, usually flat; valves broad-triangular, enclosed or slightly exserted. Tree up to 60 m high, with a straight trunk. Bark smooth to the base. Adult leaves 10–15 x 2–4 cm. Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncles terete or slightly compressed, 10–13 mm long. Operculum hemispherical, often with a short beak, shorter than the floral tube. Blue Mts; Mooney Mooney Creek; Parson’s Creek. Deep soils, usually in gullies. Fl. late summer. Deane’s Gum
