Eucalyptus cypellocarpa L.A.S.Johnson

Leaves mostly 15–25 cm (rarely 10 cm) long, 2–3 cm wide; lateral veins irregular; angle 30–50°. Fruit usually longer than broad, 8–6 x 6–10 mm, pyriform, cylindrical or ovoid-truncate, pedicellate; disc narrow, depressed; valves just enclosed or their tips exserted. Tree up to 45 m high. Bark usually rough near the base but predominantly smooth and hanging in ribbons. Umbels 7-flowered; peduncles compressed, 7–20 mm long. Operculum conical, c. as long as the floral tube. Blue Mts Forests, chiefly in valleys. Fl. summer. Monkey Gum
