Large branches rough, only the smaller ones smooth. Juvenile leaves greyish-green. Adult leaves 6–12 x 1–2 cm. Umbels 7-flowered. Operculum conical, c. as long as the floral tube. Fruit hemispherical to campanulate, 4–6 mm diam. Rylestone district. Tree up to 20 m high. DSF. Ss. Vulnerable. Fl. spring–summer
