Adult leaves 12–25 x 2–3cm. Juvenile leaves sessile, very glaucous. Tree up to 25 m high, with spreading crooked branches. Bark corky. Operculum conical, c. as long as the floral tube. Fruit turbinate to hemispherical, 5–6 x 4–8mm; disc domed. Western parts of the region, usually on deep soils. Fl. early summer. Apple box
