Digitate branches of the inflorescence 6–8, equal or nearly so, 5–8 cm long. Spikelets overlapping. Erect, glabrous perennial, occasionally forming mats, up to 50 cm high. Widespread. Weed; roadsides; usually around habitation. Cosmop. in tropics and subtropics. Crowsfoot Grass
