Shrub or small tree, usually glabrous. Leaves coriaceous, broad-ovate or obovate to elliptic or lanceolate, mostly 5–8 cm long, entire or crenate, usually opposite. Flowers greenish, in axillary or lateral cymes. Petals 2–3 mm long, ovate, often shortly 2-lobed. Ovary confluent with the disc in a conical mass, 2-locular. Fruit drupaceous, orange-red, ovoid or globular, c. 12 mm long. Coast and adjacent plateaus. Open forests and RF. Fl. spring. Red-fruited Olive Plum
