Stipules conspicuous, c. 1 mm long, subulate, persistent. Flowers crowded into leafy globular heads at the ends of the branches, vegetative growth sometimes continuing on before flowering has finished. Leaves 10–15 mm long, ± erect, straight, keeled, acute. Shrub 30–50 cm high, glabrous or young branches pubescent. Blue Mts, e.g. Clarence. Wet heath. Fl. spring–summer
