Branches not spinescent. Leaves 5–15 mm long, glabrous, erect or slightly spreading with a recurved apex. Flowers in a terminal corymb, sessile or pedunculate. Standard yellow with purplish-brown lines in the centre. Weak spreading shrub 30–100 cm high. Widespread. Heath and open forest on deep sands and sandy alluvium, often in seasonally wet places.
