Rhachilla not produced beyond the floret. Awn more than 1 mm long. Spikelet less than 4 mm long. Panicle dense, linear to narrow-lanceolate, 20–30 cm long; the branches obliquely spreading. Erect perennial up to 1 m high. Coast and Cumberland Plain. Wet places. Endangered. Fl. spring–summer
