Epiphytic, parasitic shrub. Leaves mostly alternate, broad-ovate or narrow-ovate to narrow-lanceolate, obtuse, mostly 5–8 cm long, thick, ± glaucous, narrowed into a petiole. Flowers in short dense axillary racemes, all distinctly pedicellate. Perianth segments 5, orange-red, 3–4 cm long, connate for c. two-thirds of their length into a swollen tube; the lobes reflexed. Many hosts. Widespread. Fl. spring—summer
