Glumes ≥2 mm long (excluding mucro) with 3–4 nerves on each side; keel green, curved from the base, slightly recurved near the apex and produced into a short point. Nut smooth to minutely rough, broad, obovate to obcordate, truncate, apiculate, c. three-quarters as long as the glume, dark, external cells minute.
