Leaves densely mealy on undersurface (sometimes also, on upper surface), linear, hastate, triangular, up to 7 cm long, with entire margins or 2–3 lobes near the base. Habit variable; prostrate, 4–5 cm high and leaves mainly basal; or with trailing stems up to c. 30 cm long. Salty places. Fl. chiefly autumn
