Callicoma serratifolia Andrews

Tall shrub or small tree. Leaves opposite, simple, elliptic-oblong or broad-lanceolate, acuminate, coarsely but regularly serrate, 5–10 cm long, glabrous and glossy above or with soft hairs, whitish or rusty tomentose below, with the parallel pinnate veins prominent. Flowers yellowish, numerous in dense globular heads 12–19 mm diam.; the heads on peduncles 1–3 cm long, several usually together on a short axillary common peduncle or in a terminal cluster. Sepals 4–5, free. Petals absent. Stamens much longer than the sepals. Widespread. In damp soil; often near creeks in rocky gullies; margins of RF. Ss. Black Wattle
