Calanthe triplicata (Will.) Ames

Tall, terrestrial herb with fleshy rhizomes. Stems reduced to short pseudobulbs. Leaves up to 90 cm long, pale green. Scapes up to 1.5 m long with sheathing bracts. Flowers numerous in a terminal raceme, up to 3 cm diam. Perianth white; segments nearly equal, free, spreading. Labellum spurred, adnate to the base of the column; lamina 3-lobed, with several calli. Column short. Anther operculate; pollinia 8, tapering below, fixed to a divisible gland. Coast. Deep shaded gullies. Fl. summer. Scrub Lily
