Blechnum nudum (Labill.) Mett. ex Luerss.

Lamina very rigid, usually much paler paler beneath, frequently glaucous or reddish, often clothed with chestnut-coloured scales when young, glabrous when old. Main rhachis of the fertile fronds glossy, black or atropurpureous. Basal frond-segments oblong or broadly oblong. Middle sterile frond-segments 3.5–11.5 cm long. Plants up to 60 cm high. Widespread. Common. RF; on the edges of creeks on Ss or basalt gullies or in peaty soil near swamps
