Pinnae articulated to the main rhachis. Rhizome erect with a crown of fronds. Spores minutely papillate. Sterile pinnae very glossy, 6–13 cm long, 8–12 mm broad; the fertile pinnae 4–9 cm long, 4–8 mm broad. Plants up to 110 cm high. Coast and Woronora Plateau. Edge of brackish swamps or lakes, usually in sandy soil
