Hairs scattered on the backs of the lemma, uniformly short, of 2 different kinds, mostly c. 0.5 mm long. Lateral lobes of the lemma with capillary bristles 4–6 mm long, usually equalling or exceeding the glumes. Tufted perennial 15–60 cm high. Panicle 3–9 cm long. Spikelets with 4–10 florets. Glumes 8–14 mm long. Cumberland Plain. Clay soils. Fl. spring–summer. Small-flowered Wallaby Grass
