Austrocynoglossum latifolium (R.Br.) R.R.Mill.

Perennial, decumbent, scabrous herb with stems up to 1 m long. Leaves ovate to broad-ovate, 2–8 cm long. Flowers usually solitary, slightly displaced in the leaf axils, sometimes in bracteate monochasia, on slender recurved pedicels. Corolla white, up to 5 mm long. Mericarps densely prickly. Widespread. Moist places in open forests; margins of RF. Fl. spring–summer.
