Arundinella nepalensis Trin.

Spikelets disarticulating above the glumes; with 1 terminal bisexual floret and a male one below it. Glumes subequal, 3–4 mm long, 5-nerved. Fertile lemma 3–4 mm long, with a fine awn 3–4 mm long which is twisted in the lower part and bent back at or below the middle. Inflorescence an open panicle 20–30 cm long. Erect perennial rarely more than 1 m high, with short rhizomes. Leaf blades 5–7 mm wide, 20–30 cm long; ligule membranous, less than 1 mm long. Cumberland Plain; Hornsby Plateau.
