Erect rhizomatous herb. Leaves linear, sheathing, mostly basal. Inflorescence a raceme, scape to 3 m long. Perianth 30–45 mm forming a long tube with 6 short lobes, covered with short yellow-green hairs. Stamens 6, anthers orange, 2–4 mm long, outer filaments longer than inner filaments. Style 30–40 mm long. Ovary inferior. Fruit 3-celled. Royal National Park roadside and on eastern boundary between park and Bundeena. Introd. from WA Fl. summer
