Annual herbs covered with stiff hairs. Leaves basal and cauline. Flowers in terminal coiled bractless monochasia, sessile or shortly pedicellate. Corolla tubular, without scales in the throat. Stamens scarcely exserted. Articles papillose or wrinkled.
