Procumbent perennial herb. Leaves glabrescent, 1.5–5 cm long, 0.7–3 cm wide, braod-elliptic to oblong, margins undulate or crenate. Petiole 1–2 cm, long winged. Flowering stem densely hairy on 2 sides. Floral bracts similar to leaves but sessile and tinged with blue. Flowers are in whorls of c. 6. Calyx 4–5 mm long, purplish, acute with long white hairs. Corolla 13–17 mm long, blue with darker veins, the tube is longer than the calyx. The upper lip of the corolla is emarginate. Filaments are blue and glandular. Upper Blue Mts .
