Corolla tubular, 3–5-lobed. Stamens inserted in corolla tube, sessile. Style terminal. Ovary inferior, 3–5-locular. Fruit a drupe. 5 gen, temp. and trop.

Large shrubs or small trees. Leaves imparipinnate, the lowest pair of leaflets sometimes resembling stipules. Flowers small, numerous in large terminal corymbose cymes. Calyx 3–5-toothed. Corolla white or yellow, with a very short tube and 3–5-equally spreading lobes. Ovary 3–5-locular; stigma sessile, 3–5-lobed. Fruit berry-like.
