Phyllodes up to 4 cm long, 12–25 mm wide, ovate to obovate, hairy when young, glaucous. Flowers golden yellow. Racemes mostly longer than the subtending phyllodes. Legume straight or twisted, up to 12 cm long, 12–20 mm wide. Shrub or small tree up to 5 m high. Garden escape near habitation. Introd. from north coast of NSW and Queensland. Queensland Silver Wattle
