Shrub up to 3 m high. Phyllodes usually without a mucronate apex, coriaceous, often reddish when young; smaller veins uniformly prominent when dry. Flowers pale yellow, loosely and often irregularly placed in the spike. Widespread. Fl. Dec.–Feb.
