Branchlets angular. Phyllodes 2–4 mm wide, 7–13 cm long, rigid, glabrous, with several prominent longitudinal veins. Peduncles pubescent, c. 0.5 mm diam. Flowers bright yellow, 20–35 per head. Legume straight, 6–8 cm long, c. 5 mm wide. Erect shrub up to 2 m high. Widespread. Usually in wet ground. Fl. spring
