Leaves mostly convex on the upper surface, oblong-linear or obovate, 8–15 mm long, abruptly acuminate; margins recurved. Corolla red (rarely pale yellowish, green or whitish); tube slender, 20–25 mm long. Spreading shrub up to 1 m high. Coast and adjacent plateaus south of Sydney; lower Blue Mts DSF and heath. Sandy soils. Fl. autumn–winter Styphelia tubiflora
