Stems up to 2 m long. Leaves broad-triangular, c. 7 cm long and wide, usually with a few triangular lobes. Venation palmate. Petiole 2–5 cm long. Involucre bracts 5–7. Ray florets, yellow, 3–6; ray c. 10 mm long. Disc florets 10–12. Cypselas c. 2 mm long, glabrous. Garden escape near Sydney. Moist waste places; gullies. Introd. from S. Africa.
