Spikelets in a long narrow loose panicle mostly c. 30 cm long. Male spikelets narrow-ovate to nearly globular, 4–6 mm long; female spikelets usually narrower and longer. Perianth segments 6 in the male flowers, 4 in the female. Coast and adjacent plateaus. Wet ground Baloskion tetraphyllum
