Leaves flat (sometimes slightly recurved in P. hindii and P. junonis) concave upwards or with incurved margins
Leaves crenate-lobed, oblong in outline, c. 10 mm long and 3 mm wide. Anther appendages ± equal. Flowers solitary in the upper axils. Calyx c. 10 mm long; the upper lip ± broader but not much longer than the lower. Corolla lilac, c. 15 mm long. Strongly aromatic, ± viscid, divaricate shrub up to 2 m high.
