Upper surface of leaves glabrous; undersurface with prominent rusty stellate hairs. Leaves elliptic to obovate or oblong, 10–20 mm long, 4–7 mm wide. Flowers in compact terminal panicles. Floral tube and sepals villous, together c. 3 mm long. Young branches closely pubescent; the hairs only slightly brownish. Spreading, sometimes diffuse shrub up to 1 m high.
