Small glabrous or minutely scabro-pubescent plant 5–30 cm high, with woody base and numerous erect to decumbent slender branches. Leaves greyish, oblong to narrow-elliptic, 10–20 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, flat or slightly concave but the margin ± thickened. Female perianth narrower than male. Capsule 1.5–3 mm diam. seed surface tuberculate. Cumberland Plain; northern Hornsby Plateau. WS or shale lenses in Ss. Fl. spring–summer Phyllanthus virgatus
