Pinnae shortly stalked, with petiolules 1–5 mm long. Scales and hairs whitish to light brown
Pinnae symmetric, 14–30 mm long. Lateral pinnae reducing in size towards apex. Fronds to 50 cm high. Usually amongst rocks Pellaea calidirupium
Pinnae asymmetric, 20–60 mm long. Lateral pinnae all more or less the same size. Juvenile fronds simple, suborbicular or ovate to broadly ovate or hastate; the base cordate. Fronds including the stipes up to 65 cm long. Widespread. RF. Usually amongst rocks. Uncommon Pellaea paradoxa
