Corolla tube much less than twice as long as the sepals, with 5 glandular scales below the middle. Filaments not flattened Melichrus Corolla pink to red, tube 2.5–4 mm long. Calyx tinged with pink or red. Leaves held more or less erect, 11–30 mm long. Fruit red. Shrub to 1.2 m high. Capertee Valley and Newnes area. Fl. autumn–spring Melichrus erubescens
