Leaves mostly twice or thrice pinnately divided rarely simple pinnate, 10–30 cm long; segments sessile and decurrent, linear or lanceolate, usually deeply and sharply toothed. Flowers in a loose terminal raceme or panicle much exceeding the leaves, 15 cm or more long. Perianth white. Shrub 50–150 cm high. Widespread. Heath and DSF and cleared areas. Fl. summer.
