Swamp plants, submerged or exposed or growing on wet ground. Flowers on erect scapes with or without scale leaves. Corolla blue to purple or white. Leaves basal, linear to linear-spathulate or ovate, often minute, usually absent at flowering time
Upper corolla lip deeply 2-lobed, each lobe 3.5–4 mm long, white with lilac tinges. Spur curved forward, projecting passed lower corolla lobe. Leaves few, obovate, 10 mm long, 2–3 mm wide. Peduncle to 7 cm high, up to 4-flowered. Calyx lobes c. 2.3 mm long. Blue Mts Wet areas on sandstone walls. Introd. from S. Africa. Fl. summer Utricularia sandersonii
