Leaves with long, usually pungent tips, linear, 5–10 mm long, upper surface glabrous or with minute hairs. Stems glabrous. Stamens usually 8. Erect, prostrate or diffuse shrub. Moist heath near the coast and on sandy, stony, sterile soils inland. Fl. spring–summer Hibbertia acicularis
Leaves without pungent tips, stellate hairs present at least on lower surface midvein. Stems with stellate hairs
