Carpels hairy. Sepals variously hairy, or occasionally glabrous Leaves flat, or with slightly recurved margins, oblong, 1–2 cm long, shining or glabrous on upper surface. Flowers terminal or within a cluster of floral leaves on very short axillary branches. Petals broad, emarginate. Erect or diffuse shrubs c. 1 m high
