Leaves acuminate, broad-ovate to lanceolate, 1–7 cm long. Flowers few together in short pedunculate heads which are terminal but becoming lateral by the growth of the shoot. Corolla 6 mm long. Fruit red or brownish. Shrub up to 2 m high, usually minutely scabrous. Blue Mts, e.g. Blackheath. Open forests not usually on Ss. Fl. summer Coprosma hirtella
