Branches and petioles glabrous or nearly so. Stems 4-angled. Sepals broad-ovate. Petals pink, 6–8 mm long. Otherwise similar to B. mollis; forms intermediate between these two species are included under B. mollis. Coast and adjacent plateaus; lower Blue Mts Gullies on Ss. Fl. spring.
