Mature bracteoles twice as long as broad, tubular in the lower portion, free at the summit; the tube 2–3 mm diam.; (Fig. 34). Decumbent perennial up to 30 cm high, monoecious. Leaves linear to lanceolate, alternate, 2–4 cm long, mealy. Clay soils near stockyards. Probably introduced from western parts of NSW. Fl. most of the year. Slender-fruit Saltbush Atriplex leptocarpa
