Corolla pinkish to white, c. 3 mm long. “Leaves” linear, 3–7 mm long; those on the lower part of the stem strongly reflexed, acute. Flowers in terminal or axillary dichasia, almost sessile. Mericarps reticulate. Weak, rhizomatous, dioecious herb up to 15 cm high. Widespread. Grasslands. Fl. spring–summer. Common Woodruff Asperula conferta
Corolla blue, c. 4 mm long. “Leaves” linear, obtuse, ciliate, up to 3 cm long. Flowers in terminal corymbose panicles. Fruit smooth, glabrous. Annual herb up to 30 cm high. Recorded from Penshurst but now probably extinct there. Introd. from Europe. Blue Woodruff Asperula arvensis
