Inflorescence 12–30 cm long. Ligule usually 10–15 mm long. Leaves oblong-lanceolate to 40 cm long, 3–10 cm wide. Outer perianth c. 10 mm long; inner perianth tube c. 12 mm long, lobes c. 7 mm long. Labellum circular. Lateral staminodes c. 1 mm long. Ovary to 6 mm long, usually hairy. Fruit globular, c. 10 mm diam., blue, with a brittle pericarp. Herb to 3 m high. North from Gosford. Coastal RF.
